Moringa seeds may not sound popular with many who are used to the leaves with its numerous health benefits. The taste of the pudding is actually in the eating. Moringa seed is another super food emanating from the moringa tree. It is particularly interesting due to its low calorie content. A few weeks ago, I decided to make a few dietary modifications to my diet and guess what, Moringa seed was the chosen food I actually chewed it raw, followed fews minutes later with a glass of water say 45 minutes. This was amazing. Here are my observations:
1. Its sweet, and easy to incorporate into your diet.
2. Its almost with zero calorie
3. It is usually consumed raw, contributing to its digestibility
4. It is a source of vitamins A, C B- complex and other disease fighting antioxidants like zinc
5. Obviously helpful in lowering cholesterol
6. Combats constipation effectively
7. Helpful in preventing diabetes due to its high zinc content, though its sweet
8. Possesses anti inflammatory properties, helpful in combating inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and other such conditions
9. Strenghtens immune system due to its high vitamin A content and brightens vision
10. No doubt the seeds are good sources of oleic acid, necessary for maintaining good health
11. Noticably, it is rich in iron, calcium, magnesium and other minerals like copper
12 It is rich in vitamin C, an important antioxidant in maintaining wellness.
13. Moringa seeds are known to also benefit the skin and hair too. Remember that moderation is our rule.
